Marlene is the best hairstylist/colorist/extension expert in Chicago! I first started coming to see Marlene in 2015, and was a very loyal and happy customer until I moved almost an hour away. I tried to find a replacement closer to where I lived (near the north shore) but truly no one compared, so now I travel the distance to see Marlene religiously and I will never stray again!!! I am obsessed with the way she knows exactly what I want with my BLONDE (ifykyk) color, even when I change it up on her, she always knows how to execute!
Also, her extension line, Eminere, is the BEST hair I have ever used! I have been getting extensions since 2012 and have used ALL the different hair- hotheads, bellami, all of them…. and Eminere hair lasts soo much longer, is fuller, looks amazing even when it isn’t styled perfectly, is not tangly or needing to be brushed through 24/7 and does not shed!!!

There is not enough words I could type to say how AMAZING Marlene is at her craft. She truly has a gift in everything she does! When I started loosing my hair and had been to salons with stylists claiming they knew how to do extensions but turned out to be so bulky and fell out and not giving instructions, I found Marlene. Not only does she have you come in for a free consultation, listening to your concerns and understanding your hair type, she is very knowledgeable and is honest (not wanting to put too much on my head with thin hair to be too heavy). When you have your consultation, she even gives you a list of dos and don’ts to maintain your extension life. I was so skeptical at first but after my first after many failed stylists doing my extensions, I literally teared up and told her she helped give me back my self confidence after illness. Not only that, but when you need your grays covered, and I’ve been having my hair dyed for years, she will tell you what color she thinks would be best and it’s the best hair color and best color coverage mine has looked I think in forever. My only regret is not finding her sooner! She is punctual, and her prices are reasonable. I hope to never move away because I plan on going to her as long as possible 😊And on the plus side, her little, cutie doggie, Luca is sometimes there and is the SWEETEST! Marlene is AMAZING. She applied cold fusion hair extensions so quickly and was wonderful throughout the entire process. I enjoyed my initial consultation and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the approach that would provide the best result. I came from a short COVID home haircut (I know...it got the better of me) and rolled out of the salon with beautiful hair past my shoulders. Color fit perfectly with my naturally black hair. I have been wearing this hair after having Tony Odisho's hair for years. This hair is a much better value and MUCH FINER QUALITY. I ALSO saw and felt both hair strands simultaneously NEXT TO EACH OTHER. This hair completely smokes the quality of Tony's hair. I hope every independent stylist and salon begins to carry this brand!
